Chartreuse is a motion-tracking head that follows you as you walk by, a collaboration with Alex Fiel. When she sees you, her eyes turn yellow and she gets a happy expression. As you walk away, her eyes turn blue and she sadly turns away.
This project is powered by an Arduino, two servo motors that change the expression of the eyes, a stepper motor that moves the head, two ultrasonic sensors to detect movement, and addressable LEDs. The face is constructed from hardboard, modeled and edited in Fusion360, and then laser cut and assembled.
